What measuring system do wizards use? in my american editions of the books, they use feet and miles "wow harry that must have been fifty feet!", and i think pounds(not) for weight
is it different in the UK version?

do wizards have/use a universal measuring system?

what do you guys think?

No, it is the same. The UK still uses feet and inches as well as metric units.

Yeah - wizards seem to use the British imperial weights and measures. The currency of Galleons, sickles and knuts seems to be a play on the old pre-decimalisation sterling currency of pounds, shillings and pence ie. 12 pennies in a shilling etc.
